Dracaena fragrans 'Dorado' belongs to the Asparagaceae family and originally comes from tropical parts of Africa, such as Mozambique, South Sudan, and the Ivory Coast. Due to its remarkable features and high adaptability, this plant has now spread to many other parts of the world.
Dracaena fragrans 'Dorado' is an evergreen shrub with strikingly glossy, dark green leaves. The plant can grow up to 15 meters tall in the wild, but often remains limited to about 1.2 meters indoors. The 'Dorado' variety of Dracaena fragrans is characterized by its golden-yellow edges, which create a beautiful contrast to the dark green center of the leaves. The plant rarely flowers indoors, but when it does, it produces small, white blooming flowers with a strong, sweet scent.
Caring for Dracaena fragrans 'Dorado' is quite easy, making it a popular houseplant. It thrives in indirect light but can also survive in shaded areas.
