Dracaena fragrans, also known as the fragrant dracaena, originates from tropical Africa. This species belongs to the Asparagaceae family. Although the plant species is not native to Europe, its adaptability and elegant appearance have long made it a popular element in interior design worldwide.
Dracaena fragrans 'Burley' is a robust, slow-growing plant with glossy, leathery leaves. The leaves are bright green and can grow up to 60 cm long. Dracaena fragrans 'Burley' is characterized by its thick, woody stem, which supports the growing leaves. Under the right conditions, this Dracaena species can bloom, producing white, sweet-scented flowers.
Dracaena fragrans 'Burley' is an easy-care plant that prefers moderate climatic conditions, with an ideal temperature between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius. It requires indirect light and is shade-tolerant, but does not thrive in direct sunlight. For optimal growth, it is recommended to let the soil dry out slightly between waterings. The planter is made of Fiberclay, a mixture of fiberglass and clay, giving it the appearance of stone but being many times lighter. The ribbed structure gives the planter a distinct finish. The combination of frost resistance, UV resistance, and fire retardancy makes the planter suitable for outdoor and indoor use; its frost resistance allows it to be left outdoors during cold periods without damage, UV resistance protects against discoloration and damage from sunlight, and its fire-retardant effect makes it a safe choice for interior applications. With a drainage hole in the bottom, excess water is drained away.
This arrangement is set up with the potted plant, filled with Vulkastrat, and equipped with a water level indicator. Vulkastrat absorbs more water than normal soil and gradually releases it to the roots.
