This plant has been introduced to various parts of the world, including the Caribbean and Latin America, where it is grown for its attractive leaves.
Croton variegatum 'Petra' is a colorful shrub with leathery leaves that stand out due to their vibrant colors and versatile patterns. Each leaf is unique with variations of yellow, red, orange, and even purple. The plant can reach a maximum height of 90-110 centimeters, depending on environmental conditions.
Croton variegatum 'Petra' requires well-drained soil and a location in partial shade to full sun, protected from wind. The plant needs regular water, but be careful not to let the soil remain too wet to avoid root rot. Consistent temperature and high humidity are also important factors for promoting healthy growth.
