The Beaucarnea recurvata, also known as the elephant's foot or ponytail palm, is a plant species native to the dry regions of Mexico. The plant grows mainly in semi-desert-like areas and is adapted to life with little water. Due to their longevity and resilience, these plants have been introduced to many areas around the world.
The Beaucarnea recurvata is a succulent, meaning it can store water in its unique, thickened trunk, hence the nickname 'elephant's foot'. The plant has a striking appearance with long, drooping green leaves growing from the top of the trunk. This gives the plant the appearance of a small palm tree. Indoors, the plant can grow up to about two meters tall, but in its natural habitat, it can reach up to ten meters.
The Beaucarnea recurvata is an easy-care plant suitable for beginners. It prefers bright light but can also survive in partial shade. The plant needs little water. In summer, it is sufficient to water it once every two weeks, and in winter, only once a month. Too much water can lead to root rot. The plant thrives best at normal room temperature and does not like cold drafts. It is also important not to repot the plant too often, as this can damage the roots.

The Baq planter from the Raindrop collection is characterized by a special structure that makes it look as if raindrops are flowing down the pot. This planter is made of Fiberclay, a mixture of fiberglass and clay. This gives the pot the appearance of stone, but it is much lighter. The structure of the planter is comparable to concrete, which contributes to a robust and modern appearance.
The planter is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Thanks to its frost-resistant properties, the pot can remain outdoors even during cold periods without being damaged. In addition, the planter is UV-resistant, which protects it from discoloration and damage caused by sunlight. The fire-retardant effect of the material also makes the planter a safe choice for indoor applications. For optimal water drainage, a drainage hole has been provided at the bottom of the planter.
