PET plastic bottles are insensitive, waterproof, and durable. They are still produced in large quantities but are far from being recycled to the same extent. Because of these properties, the range of applications for carpets made from recycled PET bottles is expanded many times over compared to carpets made from natural materials such as cotton or virgin wool.

Moisture cannot harm them, so it doesn't matter if a glass tips over during a meal. Even when used on balconies and terraces, the recycled PET carpets easily withstand a downpour. They are washable and can be easily washed in the washing machine at up to 40 °C if they are heavily soiled, and then dry again in a flash.

The feel is also convincing: compared to cotton carpets, your feet will hardly notice any difference. The recycled PET carpets only seem to be woven a little more tightly and feel surprisingly soft.
