Stylish, handmade cake stand with dome SERVE by LSA International

The timeless and stylish serveware from the SERVE series by LSA is mouth-blown and shaped by experienced artisans in a very elaborate process. The base of the cake stand is hand-shaped and attached to the stem while the glass is still malleable. The handle of the dome is pulled from molten glass and applied by hand to the dome. The edges of both glasses are melted under a flame to achieve a soft, rounded surface. Subsequently, the conical base is shaped with great precision with a wooden tool and attached to the glass. The complex process takes place while the glass is still hot and malleable.
