Designer Steve McGugan says the following about the ELBHARMONIE salt and pepper shakers: "Whenever I visit Hamburg, the Gateway to the World, from Copenhagen, I was fascinated by the development of the Elbphilharmonie. I find its design simply beautiful and very poetic. That's how I came up with the idea of designing a product as a tribute to this magnificent building that would also serve as a daily reminder of it. PHILIPPI responded enthusiastically to my ELBHARMONIE salt and pepper shakers. The shakers individually look like a modern sculpture, and when placed together on their tray, they form a miniature excitingly similar to the Elbphilharmonie."
