The activated charcoal is produced from sustainably grown wood by carbonizing it in a kiln at a low temperature and then heating it to approx. 1000 degrees until the wood glows red. Finally, it is covered with a mixture of earth, sand, and ash. The result is a porous stick with many cavities. The surface attracts impurity ions and simultaneously releases minerals such as calcium, iron, and magnesium into the water, which improve the taste and are beneficial for health.

Using the activated charcoal filter in its natural form is the most economical and environmentally friendly method of filtration. Each activated charcoal filter has a lifespan of 6 months. Each piece is vacuum-packed in recyclable plastic and steam-cleaned for immediate use.
