Product description
A surrealist mirror, like a door to another dimension.
The spectacular Reflecting mirror blurs the boundaries between art, design, and technology. Its richly decorated frame imitates the golden mouldings of antique mirrors, while an LCD screen hidden beneath the reflective surface brings one or more eyes to life, slowly opening and closing. A disturbing, almost living presence that questions our own gaze and transforms the object into an art installation.
Between technology and surrealist poetry.
Reflecting is not just a decorative mirror, but also an interactive work of art designed for functionality and emotionality. As you observe yourself, it seems to observe you. This play of reversed gazes leads to a silent and confusing dialogue with the surrounding space, making every use a unique experience. The mirror is available in Ciclope (one eye) or Trilogy (three eyes) versions and is simply connected to the mains via a discreet cable.
An exceptional focal point for daring interiors.
Whether above a fireplace, in a theatrical entrance hall, or as the centrepiece of a living room - Reflecting irresistibly draws attention. Its baroque aesthetic, sublimated by a contemporary digital touch, suits eclectic, maximalist, or neoclassical worlds, creating a deliberately offbeat scenography. A work to be viewed, experienced, and integrated like a manifest piece.
A creation by Giampiero Romanò and Andrea Ghisalberti.
Behind this unusual mirror are two complementary figures from the contemporary scene. Milanese art restorer and designer Giampiero Romanò has been exploring the language of the mirror as a narrative holder for over thirty years. His work fluctuates between baroque, surrealism, and artisanal experiments. He loves to cut, sew, and perforate reflective surfaces to create expressive, always unique objects. Alongside him, Andrea Ghisalberti brings a decidedly transversal approach: as a designer, consultant, and thought leader in experience, he works with the world's largest cultural and economic institutions (Art Basel, Audi, Harvard Business School, World Economic Forum). Together, they imbue Reflecting with a dual reading: sensory and conceptual.
With Reflecting, your home becomes an art gallery. Let yourself be hypnotized by this inverted view of yourself - and give your walls a sculptural and living presence between the grandeur of past times and the imagination of the future.
