The Dracaena fragrans 'Dorado' belongs to the Asparagaceae family and is originally from tropical parts of Africa, such as Mozambique, South Sudan, and Ivory Coast. However, due to its remarkable features and high adaptability, this plant has now spread to many other parts of the world.
The Dracaena fragrans 'Dorado' is an evergreen shrub with strikingly glossy, dark green leaves. In the wild, the plant can grow up to 15 meters tall, but indoors it often remains limited to about 1.2 meters. The 'Dorado' variety of Dracaena fragrans is characterized by its golden-yellow margins, which create a beautiful contrast to the dark green center of the leaves. The plant rarely blooms indoors, but when it does, it produces small, white-flowering flowers with a strong, sweet fragrance.
Caring for the Dracaena fragrans 'Dorado' is quite easy, making it a popular houseplant. It thrives in indirect light but can also survive in shady areas.
