The Dracaena fragrans, also known as the fragrant dragon tree, originates from tropical Africa. This species belongs to the family Asparagaceae. Although the plant species is not native to Europe, its adaptability and elegant appearance have made it a popular element in interior design around the world for a long time.
The Dracaena fragrans 'Burley' is a robust, slow-growing plant with glossy, leathery leaves. The leaves are vibrant green and can grow up to 60 cm long. The Dracaena fragrans 'Burley' is characterized by its thick, woody stem, which supports the growing leaves. Under the right conditions, this Dracaena species can bloom, producing white, sweet-smelling flowers.
The Dracaena fragrans 'Burley' is an easy-to-care-for plant that prefers moderate climate conditions, with an ideal temperature between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius. This planter is made from Fiberclay, an innovative mixture of fiberglass and clay that combines the look of stone with significantly less weight. The planter is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use and has various functional properties. For example, the planter is frost-resistant, allowing it to remain outdoors during cold periods without risk of damage.
Furthermore, the material offers UV resistance, preventing discoloration and degradation from sunlight. Its fire-retardant effect also contributes to safety, especially when used indoors. For optimal water drainage, the planter is equipped with a drainage hole in the bottom, which efficiently drains excess water.
