**Martindale is a procedure that determines the abrasion resistance and thus the durability of fabrics. The Martindale method simulates the daily wear and tear of covers, especially seat covers and upholstery fabrics. Thus, an abrasion value is determined, which indicates when the fabric begins to wear out. For private use, between 10,000 - 15,000 Martindale is considered appropriate.
