Elegant and high-quality designer rug "TONQUIN" hand-tufted
The TONQUIN design was originally used to decorate black jasper porcelain. The porcelain was hand-painted using an encaustic paint technique - a very high art. Typically, the TONQUIN design consists of floral natural elements, painted boldly and brightly, which was very popular in the early 19th century. In the 20th century, Tonquin was reinterpreted by the designer Victor Skellern. It was primarily used on fine bone china.
The WEDGWOOD rug collection is 100% handcrafted from natural materials such as wool, viscose, or silk and was inspired by the diverse, typical company patterns. Of course, they draw from the unique WEDGWOOD color palette. These beautiful rugs add a touch of English elegance to any room.
