Florence spent her twenties as a singer in the Far Eastern colonies and ran an etiquette school in Shanghai. In London, she reinvented herself and became "Madame Pellier", a French fashion designer who dressed the rich and famous. Afterwards, she moved back to Australia as an English aristocratic lady and worked as a landscape painter. At the age of 60, Florence changed her life again and founded her well-known company, which manufactures and sells luxurious, hand-printed wallpapers.
