Designed by Lotta Agaton, the Knot rug collection is woven from soft, durable rope and features a simple, tied knot that sits casually in one corner of the rug. The thick and robust rug has a distinct tactile quality and brings a relaxed, textured element to the interior. The rugs are available in three versatile, neutral colors and two sizes, with the thickness of the rope increasing proportionally to the size of the rug, growing from 12mm to 20mm.

Hand-woven in India, the Knot rug combines traditional craftsmanship with modern materials. It is made from PET, a recycled form of polyester that is carefully processed and transformed into new, strong fibers. This durable material is particularly suitable for high-traffic areas and withstands daily use better than many other fibers. At the same time, valuable resources are given new life through recycling, without the rug losing its expressiveness over time.

The Knot rug consists of interwoven ropes that form an organic shape with a subtle impression of movement – soft and flexible rather than stiff or structured.

• New Works wurde von Nikolaj Meier und Knut Bendik Humlevik aus dem Wunsch heraus gegründet, ein Designhaus zu gründen, in dem Design mit Sorgfalt und Absicht zum Leben erweckt wird und in dem es Raum für kreative Experimente gibt - ein Ort für neue Arbeiten. Während Nikolaj als CEO mit Zahlen und dem Tagesgeschäft jongliert, ist Knut Bendik als Creative Director für das besondere Erscheinungsbild verantwortlich. Gemeinsam mit einem kleinen, engagierten Team machen sie sich auf den Weg, eine kuratierte Kollektion gehobener, aber dennoch zugänglicher Wohnobjekte zu definieren. Mit diesem Ziel gestalten sie die sich ständig weiterentwickelnde Geschichte von New Works.
