The MARGIN collection is designer John Asbury's modern interpretation of a classic luminaire. Margin's intersecting shades, which explore a multi-layered typology for lighting, gently diffuse the light and instantly add a warm and tactile accent. The softness of the fabric is tempered by a clear and graphic silhouette, lending a certain presence and volume to the space. The sense of proportion and details such as the linear element in the luminaire sharpen the aesthetic and allow Margin's unique character to unfold.
Designer John Asbury:
John Astbury's studio was founded in 2014 and is located in Stockholm, Sweden. After previously studying anthropology in England, John Astbury completed a design degree at Konstfack, the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design, in 2011. Starting from archetypes, his work reduces the object to its fundamentals, revealing material, structure, and form. A language of absolute simplicity, which at the same time makes visible the dialogues and symbols surrounding the object.
