The simple and high-quality MAY collection is made of powder-coated steel. The durable furniture family consists of stackable chairs with and without armrests, lounge chairs, garden benches and garden tables in various sizes, which are harmoniously coordinated and complement each other. The understated, monochrome appearance of the MAY collection is rich in detail without being technical. The chair leads the way for the defining interactions of the design, where a delicate surface meets a bold frame - two opposing elements that somehow comfortably coexist.

The lightweight sheet steel, which wraps tightly around the chunky steel frame, forms a strong and comfortable seat that is slightly curved so that it gently conforms to the body. A slot in the seat allows for water drainage and is a subtle detail on the otherwise uniform surface. Mirrored in the tables, it creates a repetition of lines that gives the family lightness, charm, and unity.

Designer Hannes & Fritz:

Hannes & Fritz is the design studio of Johannes Breuer and Fritz Gräber. With Johannes in Stuttgart and Fritz in Zurich, they develop each project through a mixture of individual and collaborative work in different cities. Both have very similar skills and common interests, but each brings their own unique perspective to their shared projects: Johannes' tendency to be more linear and emblematic, and Fritz's more dynamic and expressive design language. Taken together, the results are more interesting than what each designer could have achieved individually.

• New Works wurde von Nikolaj Meier und Knut Bendik Humlevik aus dem Wunsch heraus gegründet, ein Designhaus zu gründen, in dem Design mit Sorgfalt und Absicht zum Leben erweckt wird und in dem es Raum für kreative Experimente gibt - ein Ort für neue Arbeiten. Während Nikolaj als CEO mit Zahlen und dem Tagesgeschäft jongliert, ist Knut Bendik als Creative Director für das besondere Erscheinungsbild verantwortlich. Gemeinsam mit einem kleinen, engagierten Team machen sie sich auf den Weg, eine kuratierte Kollektion gehobener, aber dennoch zugänglicher Wohnobjekte zu definieren.
