The seat is made of plywood and covered with a high-quality ash veneer. The base consists of a steel frame. Ash wood is a slightly soft wood with a tight, straight grain. The straight grain ensures that ash wood bends well, making it very suitable for the furniture industry. Treated ash wood is strong and durable, but untreated ash wood can move a lot and yellow quickly. Sanded ash provides a clean, smooth appearance. Brushed ash has more character, and band-sawn ash looks very robust and rough.
