This timeless and stylish serving dish from the SERVE series by LSA is mouth-blown and shaped by skilled artisans in a very intricate process. The base of the cake plate is formed by hand and attached to the stem while the glass is still malleable. The handle of the bell is pulled from molten glass and applied to the bell by hand. The edges of both glasses are melted under a flame to create a soft, rounded surface. Then the conical foot is shaped with great precision using a wooden tool and attached to the glass. The complex process takes place while the glass is still hot and malleable.
