The non-sharp bottom of the wok avoids damage to induction and ceramic hobs. The heat-distributing base with increased thickness and a well-designed heating surface up to the edge of the body, guarantees excellent heat distribution. The wok can also retain heat very well and keeps the food in it warm for a long time.
The non-stick coating inside the wok is also suitable for use with non-sharp metal utensils. Merpa's frying pans are absolutely PFOA-free. Easy to use and maintain.
The frosted outer surface enhances the elegance of the shape of this lid from the STILE series. The rounded edge guarantees structural resistance. Indelible laser-engraved Pininfarina logo on the handle. The handle is larger in size than the standard on these pots - ensuring easy and safe handling.

Mepra was founded in 1947, but the entrepreneurial history of the Prandelli family begins many years earlier. In 1901, the brothers Bortolo, Francesco and Giovanbattista founded the first Prandelli family business in the Lumezzane Valley on the banks of the Gobbia River to harness the kinetic energy of water to enable the operation of machinery.
The company's factory used to produce for others and produced bullets for the Italian army during the First World War. With the end of the war, the factory had to be converted for other purposes, and Gianbattista's three sons Pietro, Felice and Giacomo founded Mepra, acronym for Metallurgica Prandelli (literally Prandelli Metallurgical).
The first furnaces were set up outdoors because the material that had to be melted during the war and the post-war period contained impurities from water and gunpowder. In 1950, the brothers decided to put half of the production on stainless steel cutlery. It was a great success and in 1953 they decided to stop producing brass cutlery altogether.
The following years brought steady growth and success, which led Mepra to expand the product range over the years, first with tableware, followed by cookware and the first coffee machines, and finally silver-plated stainless steel products.
Today Mepra is a company with a global presence, exporting its products and designs to every country in the world. Mepra is a company that constantly innovates its processes and products and has a complete catalogue with more than 8,000 product references. Product innovation means being able to present a new collection to the markets every year.
Innovation in design thanks to the lucrative collaboration with some of the most important Italian designers such as Angelo Mangiarotti and the younger, talented designers who work at Mepra.
Today Mepra products appear on the tables of the world's most prestigious hotels, renowned and multi-award winning restaurants and hundreds of thousands of people's homes
