The MARGIN collection is designer John Asbury's modern interpretation of a classic lamp. Exploring a multi-level typology for lighting, Margin's crisscrossing shades gently diffuse light, instantly creating a warm and tactile accent. The softness of the fabric is softened by a clean and graphic silhouette that adds presence and volume to the space. The sense of proportion and details such as the linear element in the luminaire sharpen the aesthetics and allow the special character of Margin to unfold.
Designer John Asbury:
John Astbury's studio was founded in 2014 and is based in Stockholm, Sweden. Having previously studied anthropology in England, John Astbury completed design studies at Konstfack, College of Arts and Crafts in 2011. Taking archetypes as a starting point, his work reduces the object to its basics, exposing material, structure and form. A language of absolute simplicity that at the same time makes visible the dialogues and symbols that surround the object.
