Design LED table lamp "Banana Louie" 30 x 21 cm
These light sculptures in the form of freshly peeled bananas were designed by the Belgian artists of Studio Job and clearly refer to the American Pop Art movement. Originally, the "Banana" lamps were designed in limited edition for the exhibition "Art Light" at Carpenters Workshop Gallery in Paris. Seletti has now decided to mass-produce the crazy and unconventional collection of lamps, replacing the material originally used, bronze, with gold-colored synthetic resin.
The banana-shaped diffuser is made of opal glass. The banana is the most popular fruit in the world. The lamp "Banana" makes reference to other famous cult objects of pop art: with Campbell soup cans, dollar bills, Coca-Cola bottles... The very realistic lamps in the form of peeled bananas are based on Andy Warhol's approach: to represent in a positive way something that you see every day, and that everyone can recognize, and to depict objects in their simplest and most recognizable form. Thus, the most ordinary everyday objects, like a simple banana, can become an art object just by transferring them onto a canvas or into another art form. Studio Job includes free spirits Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel, both known for their rebellious and nonconformist ways of creating their own worlds. The Flemish pair's work moves somewhere between industrial and applied art. In doing so, they realize - often in limited editions - projects that combine craftsmanship with an extremely expressive and symbolic avant-garde visual language.

The classic white makes the dinnerware objects look classy, while the fancy, modern designs will put a smile on your face every time you use them. Seletti Lighting - Neon Art wall lamp or upcycling pendant?
