Origin: The Dracaena fragrans 'Cintho' originally comes from Africa, more precisely it is a tropical plant from West Africa. Through human intervention, however, this plant has spread to other parts of the world. Today, Dracaena fragrans 'Cintho' is used as an ornamental plant in many tropical and subtropical regions.
Position: Dracaenas are true shade plants. They need a maximum of 3 hours of direct sunlight per day. If the Dracaena is to be placed near a window, it is advisable to start in winter. The plant can then be gradually moved closer to the window so that it can tolerate direct sunlight in summer. Colorful specimens such as the Dracaena (Pleomele) Song of India like a sunny spot.
Characteristics: Dracaena fragrans 'Cintho' is characterized by its long, upright stems and glossy leaves that grow at the top. The plant can grow up to 2 meters high. The leaves are thick, green and have yellow edges. Rare, but striking, is the plant's flowering, which consists of fragrant yellow flowers.
Care: Caring for Dracaena fragrans 'Cintho' is relatively easy. The plant requires little water and waterlogging should be avoided.
